Pay Rate: $43.00/hr to $48.00/hr

Birch Agency is seeking General Education Teachers to join our team. We are currently seeking an Elementary School Teacher with the capacity to instruct in all subject areas to join our team in the Bronx, New York. The General Education Teacher will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and assessment of instruction that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of students.

The educator will establish a positive learning environment, implement curriculum standards, and engage in collaboration with fellow staff members, parents, and administrators to ensure the success of all students.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district curriculum standards.
• Deliver instruction using a variety of teaching methods to meet diverse student learning needs.
• Assess student performance through assignments, tests, projects, and classroom participation.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Differentiate instruction to support students with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, counselors, and support staff to address student needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school events.
• Utilize educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Monitor and support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• NY Valid state teaching certification/license appropriate for the grade level and subject area.
