Position: Senior Manager, Product Development (Critical Infrastructure & Advanced Manufacturing)
Location: New York

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Product Development (Critical Infrastructure & Advanced Manufacturing) based in United States.

This role leads the development and continuous improvement of technical training programs focused on critical infrastructure, data centers, and advanced manufacturing environments. You will translate complex industrial systems, procedures, and field practices into practical, engaging learning experiences for adult learners. The position combines deep technical knowledge with curriculum development, project ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with subject matter experts, instructors, technology partners, and delivery teams to create scalable training solutions.

Your work will help prepare learners for high-demand technical careers while ensuring training remains accurate, relevant, and measurable. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity in a fast-paced environment where innovation, quality, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the development, revision, maintenance, and quality assurance of curricula, assessments, laboratories, instructor resources, and learner-facing materials for critical infrastructure and advanced manufacturing pathways.
  • Translate complex technical concepts, procedures, equipment, and field practices into clear, practical, job-relevant learning experiences for adult learners.
  • Design engaging learning activities and instructional solutions across instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, blended, simulation, and other delivery formats.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, product development teams, technology partners, and other stakeholders to support effective implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Use technology and media to create dynamic curriculum content that strengthens learner engagement, understanding, and practical application.
  • Define, document, and maintain the scope of learning materials while identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating project status clearly.
  • Conduct research into emerging technical training needs and develop new curriculum offerings, assessments, and learning resources.
  • Support pilot testing, reviews, revisions, and finalization of instructional materials to ensure quality, accuracy, usability, and consistency.
  • Contribute to the evolution of content development processes and help establish scalable methods for measuring learner progress and training effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities and special projects while maintaining ownership of deliverables and meeting short- and long-term objectives.
Requirements
  • 1--3 years of experience working in or consulting with critical infrastructure, data center, and/or advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing technical training programs for roles such as Electromechanical Technicians, Instrument Technicians, PLC/Automation Control Technicians, Industrial Mechanics, Industrial Electricians, Critical Facility Engineers/Technicians, or similar positions.
  • Strong practical understanding of equipment commonly used in highly automated and critical environments, including pumps, motors, motor controllers, PDUs, MCCs, sensors and actuators, PLCs, DCS/SCADA, VFDs, UPS systems, diesel generators, ATS, pneumatics, hydraulics, CRAH/CRAC systems, BMS, and related equipment.
  • Significant experience with safety requirements such as LOTO, OSHA, and NFPA in environments involving high-energy electrical or mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, or similar procedures used to maintain, operate, troubleshoot, or restore equipment in critical environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems under fault conditions and clearly communicate troubleshooting processes to others.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience and/or industry certifications related to safety, facilities, industrial systems, or automation.
  • Experience designing curriculum or instructional content for adult learners in workforce development, technical training, higher education, or corporate learning environments is preferred.
  • Experience developing hands-on labs, assessments, simulations, or scenario-based learning activities is preferred.
