RONDOUT VALLEY CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seekinga Special Education Coordinator.

Qualifications
  • NYS School District Administrator (SDA); NYS School District Leader(SDL);

    NYS School Administrator Supervisor (SAS);
  • Master’s degree in special education or related field;
  • Experience as a CPSE/CSE chair;
  • Experience providing special education services to students with disabilities;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work well with parents, students, teachers, and administrators;
  • Knowledge of Part 200 Regulations.

Salary:
Per Contract

General Responsibilities
  • Responsible for chairing/facilitatingCPSE/CSE meetings for in and out of district placements;
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Monitors and assures adherence to SED regulations governing procedures for referral, evaluations, IEP development, and placement and review of students;
  • Appropriate reporting (STAC forms) and assisting the Student Support Services Administrator in gathering data for other SED and Federal reports, as needed.
Additional Duties

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the direct report and/or Superintendent.
