Queens Community House is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and dynamic School-Based Youth Programs Manager to oversee workforce development and after-school programming at Business Technology Early College High School (B-Tech).This leadership position is responsible for the daily management, implementation, compliance, and overall success of multiple youth programs, including:

Extended Day After-School Program The School-Based Youth Programs Manager serves as Queens Community House's primary liaison with school administration, NYC Public Schools, the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), community partners, employers, students, and families. This position provides strategic leadership to ensure exceptional program quality while creating meaningful educational, workforce development, leadership, and enrichment opportunities for high school students.

Primary Responsibilities Program Leadership Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of Career Ready, Work, Learn & Grow (WLG), and the Extended Day After-School Program.

Develop annual program goals, implementation plans, and performance strategies aligned with contractual requirements.

Ensure compliance with all DYCD, NYC Public Schools, and Queens Community House policies and standards.

Monitor participant recruitment, enrollment, attendance, retention, outcomes, and overall program quality.

Maintain accurate participant files, documentation, and records.

Workforce Development Prepare students for internships through work readiness workshops, career exploration, financial literacy, and professional development activities.

Support internship placement, employer communication, and ongoing participant coaching.

Oversee recruitment, placement, monitoring, and success of Work, Learn & Grow participants.

After-School Program Management Design and implement engaging after-school programming for high school students.

Coordinate academic support, STEM activities, career exploration, college readiness, leadership development, arts, wellness, and recreational programming.

Plan special events including showcases, college visits, career panels, and family engagement activities.

Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.

Staff Supervision Recruit, onboard, supervise, coach, and evaluate program staff, tutors, activity specialists, and interns.

Facilitate regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Monitor staff performance and implement coaching and corrective action when necessary.

Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate program coverage.

School & Community Partnerships Serve as the primary liaison between Queens Community House and Business Technology Early College High School.

Build collaborative relationships with administrators, teachers, guidance counselors, employers, and community organizations.

Represent Queens Community House at school meetings, community events, and partner meetings.

Data Management & Compliance Monitor program performance metrics and participant outcomes.

Ensure timely and accurate data entry into required databases.

Prepare reports for internal leadership, funding agencies, and stakeholders.

Maintain compliance with grant requirements and quality assurance standards.

Student Support Promote positive youth development practices.

Address student concerns and behavioral issues appropriately.

Connect students and families with supportive resources and services.

Encourage leadership, civic engagement, college readiness, and career success.

Required Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Youth Development, Public Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing youth development, workforce development, or after-school programs.

Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
