Are you enthusiastic about engaging kids through hands-on STEM activities and high-energy birthday celebrations? We’re looking for Birthday Party STEM Assistant Specialists who are upbeat, supportive, and excited to help create unforgettable birthday experiences. At NORY, we work together to bring joy, creativity, and meaningful learning moments to every celebration, making each child feel special on their big day.

• STEM Training Provided: No prior STEM experience? No problem. If you're eager to learn, we'll provide the STEM training you need.

• At least 1 year of experience teaching children and facilitating engaging activities and events

• Genuine love for children and a knack for turning every birthday into an unforgettable adventure.

• Ability to transform routine activities into lively, laughter-filled moments.

• Masterful organizational and behavioral management skills to ensure smooth-sailing festivities.

• Steadfast punctuality and professionalism, even when in the midst of wild party fun.

• Theater or acting background, or a passion for crafting immersive experiences for kids, is a plus!

• Hours:
  
  Varies based on party bookings, but typically 1–3 hours per week or as needed.

• Compensation: $25/hour, which covers:

  • Preparation:
    Arriving at least 15 minutes early to support setup and materials organization.

  • Assisting with activity facilitation, light prep, and post-event clean-up.

• Adjustments:
  Payment is prorated based on the event duration; for example, a 45-minute party is adjusted accordingly.

• Materials Handling:
  Unless otherwise specified, you may be asked to assist with collecting and returning materials to NORY HQ in Midtown Manhattan.

• Additional Opportunities:
  Based on performance and availability, you may be considered for other NORY roles, including Holiday and Summer Camp positions.

At NORY, birthday parties are just one part of what we do - we run programs year-round, anytime schools are closed and beyond. As a Birthday Party STEM Assistant Specialist, you’ll have opportunities to work across a variety of programs, including after-school classes, holiday camps (Thanksgiving, winter break, spring break, Memorial Day, and more), special events, and additional enrichment programs.
