Position: 12 Month Salaried Teacher Aide/Assistant
Schedule Options:- 8:25 am – 2:40 pm MTWThF
- 8:00 am – 2:20 pm MTWThF
- $30,828 annually – NYS Certified Teacher Assistants
- $29,324 annually – Teacher Aides
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work in the field of special education. You’ll collaborate with teachers, fellow aides/assistants, and therapists in a supportive environment. This role is perfect for college students or recent high school graduates seeking hands‑on experience working with children with special needs.
- School year follows most district calendars.
- Small classroom settings (6–12 students).
- 12-month positions include the 10-month academic year plus a 6-week summer session.
- Paid holidays and school breaks (Winter, February, Spring, and Summer breaks surrounding the session).
- Caring, compassionate individuals eager to work with students ages 3–12 with developmental disabilities.
- Comfortable assisting with social, emotional, and academic development, as well as personal care.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Prior special education classroom experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift children weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must complete an initial medical exam and background clearances.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance available.

- Teacher Aides who pursue and obtain NYS Assistant Teacher Certification will be reimbursed for all costs by Little Village (details provided at interview).
