We are seeking an engaging and student-centered Human Services Instructor who is committed to excellence in teaching and dedicated to helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and professional values necessary for successful careers in human services. This position is part of the Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Growth Plus Community College (PRODiG+CC) program. This is an initiative supported by SUNY system committed to: (1) increasing the number and share of excellent diverse community college faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion; (2) strengthening the pipeline for retention and support of these candidates;

and (3) hiring qualified faculty directly into tenure-track positions to support the community colleges’ efforts to build an educated workforce in the state.

The start date of this position will be January 8, 2027, for the beginning of the Spring 2027 semester. The successful candidate will be required to work only 162 days per academic year (August – May) and will be provided with a winter break from mid-December to early January, a Spring Break for one week in mid-March. Faculty are not required to work in June, July, and most of August, but opportunities for teaching summer classes exist.

In addition to the base salary, there is the potential for overload and other assignments, which would increase the base salary. There is also a pathway for promotion to higher-level salary positions (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor).
