The Bronx Works Workforce Development Program was created to empowering your career journey. Your skills, your future, our mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct job-readiness workshops
- Plan and facilitate training workshops on career-related topics
- Provide retention and advancement services
- Assess resident’s employment and training needs
- Meet all goals set by funder for Career Development Specialists position
- Help members complete career plans.
- Perform additional duties and task as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, database management and other standard business technology is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
