Work Hours:

Flexible scheduling of evenings

• Responsible for teaching Basic Residential Wiring and/or Advanced Residential Wiring courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting.

• Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students which prepare students to gain/increase skills in the area of Residential Wiring.

• Responsible for teaching all elements of house wiring, laws of electricity, building codes, wiring, testing and troubleshooting (Basic)

• Responsible for teaching advanced wiring techniques, service entrances, panel wiring, circuit bending, and codes (Advanced)

• Plan and prepare relevant and practical class lessons and monitor students' performance.

• Implement a variety of instructional delivery methods that include group or individualized instruction as well as computer programs that help students make learning gains.

• Create a climate that encourages and supports learning.

• Complete and maintain appropriate student registration, attendance, and assessment records

• Responsible for effective classroom management that enhances student learning

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Associate's degree or demonstrated experience in the Residential Wiring discipline.
