Position Overview

Provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction in General Education to 7th-12thgradestudents.
Develop and deliver lessons that encourage critical thinking, strong reading and writing skills, and meaningful discussion of history, civil rights, and social issues.
Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement, academic growth, and a love of learning.
Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to support student success and contribute to a strong school community.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Required
NYC Teaching Certificate – PREFERRED
Need a min of 12 Credits in subject area if not a certified Teacher – Will need to send transcript.
Teaching experience: 1-2 years in subject area
- If they do not have a teaching license We are looking for someone with direct experience teaching the subject area to MS/HS students.
- Experience with Urban Teaching environments
- Engaged and Eager to teach
- Proactive – Not waiting to be told what to do daily
- Eager to be a part of the team
