• Valid teaching certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement or equivalent authorization
• Proven experience working directly with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in school environments
• Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and up-to-date practices in deaf education
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and students
• Ability to develop, implement, and tailor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and instructional strategies
• Passion for inclusion and accessibility initiatives within educational settings

• Design and deliver specialized instruction for deaf/hard of hearing students K-12, both in individual and group settings
• Assess students communication and language goals and adjust interventions as needed
• Advocate for assistive technology and facilitate its effective use in classrooms
• Serve as a resource to educational staff by providing training and coaching on best practices and accommodations
• Participate in IEP meetings, communicate progress, and maintain clear documentation
• Foster a supportive, empowering learning environment that nurtures student growth and self-advocacy
