Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Supervisor - M-F 10a-6p
- Brooklyn
- School Setting.

In this role, the successful candidate The Program Supervisor determines the vision, goals, and objectives of the school-age program, including administrative operations and curriculum. The Program Supervisor will research and implement the best developmentally appropriate practices for an elementary after school program aligned with the NYC Department of Education Common Core Standards and supporting the social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development of elementary school children.

They will identify and develop partnerships to enhance programming and opportunities for youth participants and develop and implement an ongoing continuous improvement plan to assess program efficiencies and impact.

The Program Supervisor also collaborates closely with the Early Childhood Center (ECC) to ensure a holistic, aligned, and seamless continuity of care for children and families across programs.

In addition, this position requires a leader who can support high-quality instruction, coach staff, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and guide program enhancements tied to new initiatives /grants and facility and space planning to strengthen program quality and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities

Review attendance and school report cards and follow up accordingly

Coordinate staff development (on and off site) and ensuring that new staff receives orientation. integrating aoaching/ modeling and a train the trainer approach to staff development to build capacity

Ensure that children who have IEPs services in support of their individual needs

Ensure that attendance and program reports are entered into DYCD Connect and OST online in a timely manner

Coordinating and completing paperwork to SYEP program

Supervising SYEP youth and coordinating trainings and meeting for them

Ordering supplies

Recruit, hire, and observe staff for the purpose of evaluating the quality of service delivery and to identify areas which may require further staff development

Meeting regularly with school age staff to plan, coordinate, conduct, assess, and build upon educational curricula

Working collaboratively with the data team and regulatory agencies, develop and implement a continuous improvement process that ensures program efficiencies and impact on student outcomes

Acting as liaison between the Center and the primary caregivers of participants, as well as the community; establish ongoing communication systems to promote the mission, goals, and activities of the Center, inform caregivers of their critical role in their child's education and life; enlist the support and involvement of caregivers as well as community residents and leaders, in the strengthening of the school age
