Beansprouts Preschool is looking for a part-time Lead 2s Preschool Teacher for the  school year!

Founded in 1980 in Park Slope, Brooklyn, Beansprouts offers preschool, after-school, and day camp programming and serves children from ages 1.9 to 9. SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Beansprouts is seeking a part-time Lead 2s Preschool Teacher to join our Extended Day team for the  school year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in education to gain experience in the field and learn from a fun, creative, and supportive team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Nurture the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children
• Establish a mutually respectful and productive classroom
• Engage and support children in play-based activities
• Work collaboratively with other team members
• Engage in ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education Requirements:
  • Possess an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • OR is working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related (minimum of 90 credits required
    )
  • OR be enrolled in a Master's Degree Program for Early Childhood Education
  • OR a High school Diploma AND 5 years of supervised experience in an infant/toddler classroom
• Be able to work Monday
  - Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm.
• Should demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills; and be team-oriented, nurturing, patient, and reliable.
• Should be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which may include lifting children and year-round outdoor activities.

HOURS
:

• Monday
  - Friday: 3 pm - 6 pm for the  school year
• Part-time
• 10-month school year (plus an option for a summer program)

** As per Department of Health regulations, a background check and medical will be required for employment.
