York College, founded in 1966, is a center of academic excellence in the heart of Jamaica, Queens. York’s academic programs are housed in three schools:
The School of Arts & Sciences, The School of Business and Information Systems, and The School of Health Sciences and Professional Programs. Over sixty baccalaureate programs from across a variety of disciplines, including accounting, aviation management, business, computer science, journalism, social work, teacher education, a dual BS/MS degree in Occupational Therapy, and one of the top-ranked nursing programs in New York State, provide students with opportunities to study liberal arts, sciences, and professional programs.

The College also offers six graduate programs:
Aviation Management, Clinical Trials Management, Pharmaceutical Science and Business, Physician Assistant, Social Work and Nursing Education.

The individual hired for this position will teach basic and advanced courses in at least one of the following fields:
Entrepreneurship, International Business, Business Analytics, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Economics. Teaching assignments will include evenings and weekends.

The successful candidate will provide service to the College, including student advisement, participation on department and college committees, and other assignments given by the Department Chair. Teaching faculty perform committee and department assignments, including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate effectiveness in teaching methods appropriate for assigned courses.

• Assist students with course advising and individual mentoring.

• Participate in curriculum development as part of the normal workload.

• Work collaboratively to enhance the Business and Economics department programs with an emphasis on maintaining academic relevance and alignment with marketplace needs.

• Complete administrative tasks assigned as part of the normal workload.

• Fulfill bargaining unit workload requirements, including equivalent administrative responsibilities.

• Serve the College through participation in committees, professional organizations, and community engagement activities.

• Encourage and support student involvement in student organizations, internships, and career development opportunities.

• Maintain and develop relationships with the business community and relevant professional organizations.

The successful candidate must possess:

• A PhD or other relevant doctoral degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Human…
