About the RoleBuilding Brilliance Day Care II Inc is looking for a passionate and nurturing Twos Lead Teacher to join our growing team in Long Island City, NY! Responsibilities- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities for toddlers in the two-year-old classroom
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily activities
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom setting
- Ensure compliance with NYC childcare regulations, health, and safety standards
Candidates must qualify under NYC Article 47 for an Infant/Toddler (47.15) and Preschool Two’s Teacher through at least one of the following pathways:
Note on Study Plans:
Study plan teachers must maintain enrollment every semester to qualify. Exceptions may be granted by the DEPT but must be requested for approval. Study plans must be completed within 7 yrs of start date.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood setting
- Knowledge of NYS/NYC childcare licensing regulations and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic about early childhood development
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and staff
