# Virtual Special Education Teacher## Overview Salary Range $26.00 - $26.00 Hourly## Description At Learn Well, we are committed to changing the lives of the 10 million students in the U.S. who are dealing with behavioral health issues. For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom.
With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.
Currently, we are seeking passionate and creative special education teachers to assist with our growing need for virtual tutoring during the academic school year. This unique position will involve working remotely, providing academic support to middle and high school students who are out of school for medical, behavioral, or various unique this role, teachers provide virtual tutoring support to students in 1:1 and small-group settings.
The main responsibility is to act as an aide for the student, guiding them through educational material and helping ensure their academic success.
** Availability and
Schedule:
** This position requires consistent availability Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM–10:00 PM EST, with a minimum commitment of 12.5 hours per week/2.5 hours per day. Preference will be given to candidates who have daytime availability (8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST).This is a 100% remote role. Candidates must have a reliable internet connection, a working computer, and a distraction-free workspace.
** Compensation:
** All teachers are compensated for both instructional sessions and designated daily administrative time.## Qualifications
* B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
* Special education teaching license
* Comfortable working with k-12 students
* Strong organizational skills
* Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
* Reliable internet connection
* Working computer and distraction-free workspace
