Description

Job Summary

A key member of the College’s development team, Advancement Engagement Coordinator is responsible for strengthening and growing the College’s relationships with alumni, donors, organizations and friends of the college. The Advancement Engagement Coordinator reports to the Chief Development Officer, works closely with other institutional departments, with volunteers, and assists the CDO in expanding, planning, implementing, and evaluating all current and future alumni and friends programs.

Responsible for the following:

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual and strategic multi-year plan for increasing engagement and participation from all constituencies.
  • Formulating, in consultation with the CDO, events and programs geared at cultivating relationships with alumni, donors, outside organizations, foundations, and friends of the college.
  • Develop an annual calendar of events and work with the Campus events team on coordinating logistics.
  • Identifying, recruiting, and managing alumni volunteers as well as possible award recipients for the Vaughn Alumni Ambassadors Council and the Alumni Recognition Awards that are distributed annually at the Graduate Celebration Event. Gather biographical information for all existing and prospective members of the Alumni Board of Directors, as well as all award recipients.
  • Planning and executing alumni group reunions (specific affinity groups such as classes, teams, clubs or organizations).
  • Serving as a liaison between the Office of Institutional Advancement and Engagement and the current student population.
  • Responsible for all content associated with events, such as email, social media and invitations and creating and maintaining all content on OAE website.
