Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Location: New York | Remote
Employment Type: 1099 Contract | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
Starting Pay: $38+/hour
Caseload Details: Discussed during the interview process
- Provide direct and consultative vision services to students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress
- Support access to curriculum and instructional materials
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or related field
- Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Active New York licensure/certification or ability to obtain
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable utilizing virtual learning platforms and technology
