The Whitney seeks an
Education:
Family Programs
for Spring 2027.
Expected Projects & Assignments
- Work on site 2-3 days per week (includes required availability on Saturdays and every second Sunday)
- Assist during in-person Family Programs, work with Social Impact Facilitators, and create a welcoming environment for families and children at the museum
- Prepare art materials and organize material inventory
- Perform administrative tasks to support programs (track statistics, create signages and informational materials)
Stipend: $3,000
Duration: January 18 – April 26, 2027
Schedule: PT (16–21 hours/week)
Eligibility
Skills & Qualifications
- Undergraduate and graduate students pursuing advanced degrees; must have completed a minimum of two years’ worth academic coursework. Undergraduate first-year and second-year students are not eligible
- Experience working with art materials
- Interest in working with children and families
- Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Creativity, attention to detail, ability to work on a team
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student who has completed at least two years of academic coursework
- While a demonstrated interest in art and art history is preferred, students in all majors are encouraged to apply
- Previous museum experience is not required
