OBJECTIVES:
Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Curriculum Coordinator will oversee the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of inclusive, standards-aligned curricula and instructional practices for Special Education programs serving students in Kindergarten through Grade
3. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality teaching and learning by developing evidence-based instructional resources, providing coaching and mentorship to educators, and assessing program effectiveness through data-informed analysis and continuous improvement strategies. This role is dedicated to upholding the mission of Northside by meeting the diverse academic and developmental needs of young learners with disabilities while ensuring compliance with state and federal education guidelines and fostering an equitable, supportive learning environment.
SKILLS:
- Demonstrated advanced expertise in supporting diverse learners.
- Proven experience designing curriculum and providing instructional leadership that improves student outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of inclusive education practices, IEP development, and effective assessment methodologies.
- Expertise in inclusive teaching, IEP development, differentiated instruction, behavioral and social-emotional support.
- Curriculum design and alignment, UDL integration, assistive technology, educational assessments, data-driven decision-making.
- Strong teacher mentoring, professional development facilitation, and instructional leadership skills.
- Multidisciplinary teamwork, family engagement, clear reporting, and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, program evaluation, accurate record-keeping, and strong organizational abilities.
- Critical thinker, analytical, creative, strategic, and detail-and results oriented.

- Master’s degree in special education or a closely related education field.
