The Department of Radiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine seeks an innovative, dynamic, and creative individual to serve as Vice Chair of Education. This is a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking leader with a commitment to advancing teaching and shaping the future of our academic mission.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across the department's training programs and will champion novel approaches to teaching and learning.
The Vice Chair will report directly to and work closely with the Chair of the Department of Radiology and will collaborate with departmental educational leaders and faculty, including the Directors of Radiology Medical Student Education, the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Residency Programs, and the Department’s Fellowship programs.
Key Responsibilities- Set and advance the strategic direction for the department’s overall educational mission.
- Foster a culture of educational innovation and continuous improvement.
- Champion the integration of newer technologies— including artificial intelligence and asynchronous learning — into daily educational practice.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to educational faculty and program leaders.
- Identify and facilitate opportunities for educational research and scholarship.
- Develop mechanisms to evaluate educational programs and measure the effectiveness of new initiatives.
- Ensure that educational programs meet applicable ACGME, institutional, and other accreditation requirements and standards.

Qualifications- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology.
- Current academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor.
- A demonstrated ability to lead, innovate, and collaborate.
Significant experience in medical education preferred.
Salary and Benefits :Salary ranges between $400,000 - $600,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience. NYU offers a generous benefits package.
