The position involves regular interaction with external market operators, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders. The ideal candidate is comfortable representing the organization in public forums, building relationships across the sector, and translating complex policy issues into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor major U.S. power markets and participate in stakeholder discussions across multiple RTOs/ISOs.
  • Engage with regulators, market operators, and industry participants to stay ahead of emerging policy trends.
  • Analyze proposed rule changes and summarize their potential commercial, operational, and strategic impacts.
  • Support internal teams - including commercial, development, and asset groups - with timely policy insights.
  • Prepare concise briefings for leadership on market design issues and regulatory developments.
  • Contribute to the organization's policy positions and external engagement strategies.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
  • Ability to understand how policy decisions influence market outcomes and asset economics.
  • Comfortable interacting with external stakeholders and representing the organization in discussions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex regulatory topics.
  • Self‑directed, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities across different markets.
Preferred Background

  • 3+ years of experience in energy markets, policy, regulation, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with RTO/ISO processes and federal or state regulatory proceedings.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with quantitative or financial analysis.
