Execute aircraft and aviation maintenance of components within timelines established by customer, FAA and ATC quality standards. Aircraft components to include pneumatic valves, electromechanical actuators, and electrical components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Test and repair aircraft components in accordance with company provided data (manuals, drawings, procedures, etc.) and company provided training.
- Assemble and disassemble various components of aircraft during repairs and maintenance.
- Adjust, align and calibrate components using hand tools, gauges, etc.
- Ensure compliance with FAA and company standards.
- Resolve complex technical problems and troubleshoot unusual repairs.
- Perform compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Automotive, HVAC and/or Electrical knowledge
- Ability and desire to learn the Aerospace Industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must work well in team environment with multiple priorities
- Proficient in the use of hand tools
Base salary range: $20 - $40 hourly, plus bonus potential, comprehensive health/dental/vision/life and disability insurance, 401(k) match up to 6%, and vacation & sick days.
Requirements Education / Experience Requirements- Must have H.S. Diploma or GED
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Frequently required to talk or listen.
- Works in moderate noise levels.
- Travel less than 1%.
- No vision requirements.
Safety-Sensitive Position Requirement
This position is classified as a safety-sensitive role and is subject to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and alcohol testing regulations (14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40). Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment DOT urine drug test. The employee will be subject to ongoing, unannounced random drug and alcohol testing, post-accident testing, and reasonable suspicion testing.
Refusal to submit to a test or a verified positive result will result in immediate removal from safety-sensitive duties.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $40.00 / hour
