Senior Space Planner - Real Estate Development and Facilities

Position Summary

Senior Space Planner – Real Estate Development and Facilities. The role supports the development of a Strategic Campus Master Plan, including the new acute care pavilion on the North Clinical Campus. The Space Planner will prepare drawings, space management reports, and other documentation for projects across the NYU Langone Medical Center.

• Prepare space management reports and facilities planning documents, including plans and graphic displays.
• Work independently within department policies and seek clarification from supervisor when needed.
• Communicate the impact of design alternatives and interact effectively with NYULMC personnel, outside contractors, and consultants.
• Use computers, CAD/CADD systems, and engineering management software to produce construction documents, specifications, and schedules.
• Maintain technical skills and current knowledge of planning and the health‑care industry.
• Participate in feasibility studies, other studies, and reports for senior managers, physicians, and other stakeholders.
• Apply architectural/engineering knowledge to ensure compliance of plans with construction requirements.
• Contact building owners, renters, and customers to gather project requirements.
• Conduct space use and occupancy surveys of NYULMC departments.
• Assist with space information management and analysis for strategic planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Five years of related experience in architectural planning and design.
• Two years of practical CADD experience.

Qualified candidates must effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Salary range: $ – $ annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The range does not include bonuses, incentive, or other compensation.
