Salary starts at $43.71/hour
Primary Purpose of Position:
Supports and assists qualified mechanics in the inspection, repair, testing, adjustment, installation and removal of nuclear power plant equipment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects and maintains turbines, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, fans, blowers and dampers, air compressors
- Successfully completes 100 series fundamental training and attains 100 series qualifications to independently perform basic maintenance tasks such as using measuring and test equipment, power tools and shop equipment
- Successfully completes 200 and 250 series maintenance initial classroom and hands-on task training and evaluation
- Upon completion of 200 and 250 series training and until the applicable ANSI experience time requirement is met, performs 200 and 250 series tasks under direct supervision of qualified mechanics
- Performs emergency response duties as assigned
