Colleague Communication and Engagement Manager - Innovation
To manage all external affairs relating to projects and operations in key regions and to lead the development and implementation of an integrated regional communications strategy.
- Lead the coordination of engagement opportunities with key external stakeholder groups, consenting authorities, local and central government, MPs and media.
- Act as the key point of contact for project teams and their embedded community relations support in a given region for any queries regarding external messaging.
- Liaise to ensure visibility and high level understanding of relevant activity and support teams in monitoring and evaluating performance, delivering consistency of approach and value for money.
- Identify opportunities to engage and build relationships with high level political stakeholders and other external bodies, promoting wider corporate messages and the National Grid narrative on relevant platforms.
- Manage high level executive complaints in relation to National Grid property, ensuring these are resolved in National Grid's best interest without negative impact on third party relationships and National Grid's reputation.
- Collaborate with the team and represent the company as a National Grid spokesperson for media interviews, if required.
- Support in forming the national strategic message and implementing company-wide tools and systems.
- Educated to degree level and/or with a professional qualification in a relevant discipline (business, communication, PR), ideally with demonstrable professional development
- Experience of working in an external facing role and delivering, or managing delivery of, agreed and consistent messages
$127k - $149k a year in Boston, MA
$136k - $160k a year in Brooklyn, NY
