You’ll Do

The Manager, Package Development is a hands‑on technical leader responsible for driving packaging development for the Fragrance category from concept through commercialization. This role partners closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver innovative, high‑quality, and scalable packaging solutions that meet brand, cost, supply chain, and sustainability goals.

In addition to leading new fragrance development, this role will provide spillover support to other categories during periods of high workload, support selected technical transfers, and contribute to ESG‑ and sustainability‑related initiatives across Package Development.

  • Develop scalable, supply‑chain‑efficient packaging solutions aligned with brand, operational, cost, and quality objectives
  • Conduct risk assessments, feasibility reviews, and technical recommendations to support project decision‑making
  • Own packaging specifications, testing, validation, and documentation to ensure robust execution and launch readiness
  • Provide spillover development support to other categories during peak work‑load periods
  • Support technical transfers between suppliers, manufacturing sites, or regions as needed
  • Assist with troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of packaging‑related issues
  • Support ESG‑related initiatives within Package Development, including sustainability improvements, material optimization, and data gathering for EPR reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across processes, testing standards, supplier strategies, and cost‑savings initiatives
  • Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to align technical requirements, testing, and execution
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accuracy, speed‑to‑market, technical rigor, and sustainability outcomes
Must Haves
  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
  • 5–8+ years of packaging development experience, with strong preference for fragrance and/or cosmetics
  • Proven experience leading packaging projects from concept through commercialization

  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and global suppliers
  • Exposure to sustainability or ESG initiatives preferred
  • Strong technical judgment and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Clear, confident communicator who can influence without direct authority
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner effectively across functions
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing speed with rigor
Salary Range

$125,000 - $150,000 USD
