EnTech is seeking a full‑time “Electrical Engineer” with a strong focus on design, implementation, and quality control of electrical and lighting systems for large‑scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of complex electrical systems, including expertise in lighting layouts, load and voltage drop calculations, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to clarify design requirements and overall project goals.
- Participate in site visits and design coordination meetings to gain insight into project conditions, constraints, and operational needs.
- Prepare precise and comprehensive contract drawings, plans, and technical specifications that adhere to MTA C&D standards.
- Execute a wide range of electrical engineering tasks, including developing lighting and electrical layouts, performing lighting and load calculations, voltage drop analyses, and creating wiring diagrams, single‑line diagrams, riser diagrams, conduit routing plans, and related documents—all in full compliance with NEC and AREMA standards.
- Review and verify electrical and lighting designs produced by team members through detailed QA/QC procedures.
- Confirm that all design documents and drawings meet applicable codes, industry standards, and established best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience, with familiarity with MTA standards and subway design being an added advantage.
- Strong expertise in complex electrical systems, including testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and backup battery solutions.
- Proficiency in design software, particularly Micro Station.
- Exceptional communication skills, with strong problem‑solving abilities and a strong work ethic.
- High level of attention to detail and precision when producing technical drawings and plans.
- In‑depth knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations, including the NY Building Code, NEC, and others.
- Professional Engineering License in the state of New York.
