Overview
The Structural Engineering Associate is responsible for overseeing the analysis and design and building structures from a project management perspective. This role involves managing project schedules and budgets, coordinating with architects, contractors and other engineers, and ensuring that all designs adhere to building codes and safety regulations. It also includes preparing and presenting progress reports to stakeholders, reviewing technical drawings, and supervising/mentoring junior engineers.
Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are essential to manage project timelines and resolve issues during the design or construction phases. Proficiency with Revit (BIM) and ETABS (structural analysis) is used to facilitate design and collaboration.
- Oversee the analysis and design of structures from a project management perspective.
- Manage project schedules and budgets; coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineers.
- Ensure all designs comply with building codes and safety regulations.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
- Review technical drawings and supervise/mentor junior engineers.
- Utilize Revit for BIM and ETABS for structural analysis to facilitate design and collaboration.
- Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (in any U.S. state).
- Proficiency with Revit modeling tool.
