AutoCAD Technician (Land Surveying) at Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, D.P.C.
Base pay range$22.00/hr - $26.00/hr
OverviewWe’re excited to offer an excellent growth opportunity for a full‑time AutoCAD Technician with drafting experience to join our Land Surveying Department based in Orange County, NY. This role provides a unique chance to build a rewarding career while working alongside a team of experienced land surveyors.
Essential FunctionsPerform reduction of survey field data, photographs, and sketches; calculate and analyze field data to develop detailed technical survey plans; prepare survey maps including boundary, topographic surveys, plans, cross sections, and profiles using CAD methods. Communicate with project managers, surveyors, and colleagues to modify drawings per project specifications, and print, copy, scan, and organize CAD drawings. Occasional site visits may be required.
Qualifications- Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD 2024 with moderate proficiency; 3‑D modeling experience is a plus.
- Land surveying experience is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or certificate in architecture, drafting, or similar is a plus.
- Detail oriented, effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid, clean driver’s license.
Employees will frequently assume a stationary position, handle, inspect, and/or feel documents and equipment relevant to the job. They may be required to move around job sites, including ascending or descending landscapes or ladders, and lift or move equipment up to 10 lbs.
