Overview
We’re looking for an HVAC Controls Engineer who can also manage projects. You’ll lead the installation and setup of building optimization systems in the NYC metro area. This role combines hands-on technical work with project management—making sure installations run smoothly, on time, and on budget.
Responsibilities- Manage projects from start to finish, including schedules, budgets, and teams
- Lead installation and commissioning of HVAC control systems
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to keep projects on track
- Check that hardware and software communicate correctly
- Ensure systems work properly and meet quality standards
- Prepare final documentation and hand off projects to service teams
- Suggest improvements to make projects run more efficiently
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field
- 5–10 years of experience in HVAC controls, building automation, or MEP engineering
- Experience managing projects for commercial or multifamily buildings
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Self-motivated and proactive problem solver
- Experience with Niagara Tridium is a plus
