HDR offers an excellent opportunity in the New York/New Jersey Area for a professional to lead the development and growth of our Transit Market Sector (Transit MS). The NY/NJ Transit Market Sector Leader (Transit MSL) is a key role that involves business development, technical delivery, and project execution in transportation.

This role includes driving strategy, influencing growth, developing client relationships, and collaborating with team members across various functions to support business development and project delivery.

The Transit MSL will report to the NY/NJ TBG Manager and work closely with the NY/NJ TBG Business Development Lead, Client Managers, Project Managers, and technical staff to support initiatives in the transportation sector.

Responsibilities include:

• Promoting HDR services to clients in NY/NJ.
• Leading client development and pursuit processes.
• Supporting pursuits through relationship development and strategy.
• Developing industry relationships and engaging with associations.
• Supporting recruitment efforts for the local program.

• Serving as Principal in Charge or Project Director for major projects.
• Managing project staffing, financial performance, and team supervision.
• Collaborating on technical delivery and business opportunities.

Preferred qualifications include 15 years of transportation experience, a relevant degree, and professional licensure (preferred but not mandatory). Experience with NY/NJ transit clients and strategic marketing is highly desirable.
