G&E Partners is partnering with one of the largest heavy civil contractors in the Northeast, a firm with 80+ years of industry leadership. They are seeking a Senior Estimator to play a key role in leading pursuit strategy and securing major project wins. • Perform quantity take‑offs and provide accurate, timely, and complete cost estimates to support project planning and budgeting.
• Analyze bids from subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.
• Assist in compiling historical cost data to inform future project estimates and improve forecasting accuracy.
• Prepare detailed instructions for bidders, including trade‑specific details and comprehensive bid packages.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and owners to obtain clarifications or additional project information.
• Attend pre‑bid, pre‑award meetings, job walk‑throughs, and field visits to ensure project alignment and understanding.
• Review project documents to identify potential risks, conflicts, or areas requiring cost optimization.

• College degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 5-7 years’ civil construction estimating experience on projects from $50M
• Experience on Bridges, Highways and Mass transit projects
• Proficient in HCSS Heavy Bid
• Autodesk Civil 3D, On‑screen Takeoff, and Agtek Earthwork software
• Understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and civil construction regulations in NY
