We are seeking a Junior-Level Structural Engineer to support repair, rehabilitation, and new-structure design projects. This role involves design, inspection, surveying, and construction administration for structural renovation and rehabilitation work. The ideal candidate will contribute engineering expertise, provide technical oversight, and support all structural-related matters throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- 3–5 years of relevant structural engineering experience
- EIT certification required; PE license preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with structural design software is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
- Ability to write technical reports at an intermediate level
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to office and project locations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Suspended/Stationary Scaffold Certification a plus
- Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate
- Read, interpret, and fully comprehend construction documents
- Prepare and review construction estimates and related materials
- Communicate effectively with contractors, owners, and project stakeholders
- Prepare written reports, letters, field observations, and meeting minutes
- Inspect existing field conditions and determine appropriate repair solutions
- Observe and evaluate installed work for compliance with design documents; provide direction to contractor personnel as needed
- Perform design and analysis of structural components for buildings and other structures
- Analyze plans for static and dynamic loading to ensure structural capacity and conformance
- Develop creative and efficient solutions to engineering challenges
- Prepare structural designs, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
- Administer construction contracts and coordinate technical submissions prepared by others
- Review and provide recommendations on shop drawings, submittals, shoring plans, and design calculations
