WSP is currently initiating a search for an Early Career Structural Engineer for our New York, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Structural Engineering Team and participate in a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves challenges.

Candidates can expect advanced training in structural design and digital design technology, and participation with colleagues around the world through practice area networks and collaboration forums.
Responsibilities- Perform structural design of new buildings and restoration of existing buildings throughout the United States
- Analyze and design superstructures and foundations in timber, concrete, steel, and masonry
- Utilize latest technology and digital tools for design
- Complete training on assigned tasks
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline
- 0 to 1 year of relevant post‑education experience
- Excellent research skills with an analytical mindset
- Familiarity with concepts for design/build
- Familiarity with structural and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record‑keeping requirements
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills, able to express ideas effectively and professionally to engineering and non‑engineering audiences
- Proficient self‑leadership with attention to detail, multi‑tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to work independently under general supervision, and as part of a team to meet business objectives
- Experience with Building Information Modeling software such as Autodesk Revit, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and compliance with WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project‑specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project‑specific requirements
- Graduating December 2025 or May 2026 in an accredited Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering program
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering preferred
- 0 to 3 years of internship experience in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Micro Station software

CompensationExpected Salary (all locations): $56,300 – $92,840. WSP USA reserves the right to offer additional benefits and adjust compensation in accordance with applicable laws.
