Senior Electrical Engineer - MEP

Salary Range: $120,000 – $165,000 + Bonus (DOE)**

We are seeking a technically strong Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead projects from schematic design through construction administration.

You will take ownership of complex electrical systems, mentor junior engineers, interface directly with architects and developers, and drive design decisions on major NYC projects.

• Lead design of:
• Medium and low voltage power distribution systems
• Emergency and standby power systems
• Lighting and advanced lighting controls
• Fire alarm and special systems (design oversight)
• Load calculations
• Short circuit and coordination studies
• Develop:
• Technical specifications
• Interface with Con Edison on service applications and approvals
• Ensure compliance with:
• NYC Electrical Code
• NYC Building Code
• NYCECC Energy Code
• Participate in client meetings and high-level design presentations
• Oversee construction administration and respond to RFIs
• Mentor junior engineers and review design work

• 6+ years of NYC electrical design experience
• Strong experience with high-rise or large commercial projects
• Deep knowledge of NYC codes and DOB filing processes
• Proficiency in Revit (production-level competency)
• Experience with SKM, ETAP, or Easy Power
• PE (NY) preferred or actively pursuing
• Comfortable leading meetings and defending design decisions
