- An established engineering consulting firm specializing in advanced building controls and hands‑on project delivery is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Energy Engineer to join their growing team.
- This is a high-impact role for a self‑starter who thrives in client‑facing environments and enjoys owning projects from concept through implementation. You will work directly with senior client stakeholders across major medical campuses, universities, hospitals, pharmaceutical, and industrial facilities — helping them reduce energy use, optimize system performance, and deliver measurable value.
- If you are technically strong, highly organized, and motivated by delivering meaningful results with minimal oversight, this opportunity offers autonomy, visibility, and the ability to shape outcomes in complex, high‑performance environments.
- Lead energy analysis efforts with strong technical rigor and practical application.
- Develop energy models using software tools and spreadsheet‑based analysis.
- Apply energy economics principles to guide decision‑making and project recommendations.
- Conduct and support energy audits and retro‑commissioning initiatives.
- Define strategic roadmaps that align energy initiatives with client objectives.
- Translate limited or evolving client input into clear, value‑driven solutions.
- Collaborate directly with senior‑level client stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Work closely with project managers, technical teams, subcontractors, and other partners to implement energy projects successfully.
- Delegate and mentor junior team members to ensure high‑quality, on‑time deliverables.
- Strong analytical and technical foundation in energy engineering.
- Experience with energy modelling tools and advanced spreadsheet analysis.
- Knowledge of energy economics and financial evaluation of projects.
- Understanding of energy audits and retro‑commissioning best practices.
- Ability to consistently deliver high‑quality work on or ahead of schedule.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with client leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Professional engineering or energy‑related credentials (PE, CEM, or similar).
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) / Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Familiarity with regional utility incentive programs.
- Knowledge of energy project finance and funding methods.
- Current Covid and Flu Vaccination may be required in order to be considered for the position due to client contract requirements.
