Electronic Repair Technician

Location: Yaphank

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to join our team.

This position requires proficiency using high voltage power supplies in a manufacturing setting!

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Writing in-process test procedures for circuit boards.

* Designing test fixtures (a plus).

* Troubleshooting down to the component level.

* Working closely with Engineering to support new systems development.

* Loading software for system testing.

* Reading schematics, wiring diagrams, or wire lists prior to system testing.

* Reporting unusual and/or recurring faults and failures.

* Returning defective components to Quality Assurance.

* Traveling to customers to conduct inspections, installations, and repairs.

* Performing other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Top Must-Have

Skills:

* Experience in Electrical/Electronic Testing:
Minimum of 3 years in the field.

* Security Clearance Eligibility:
Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

* Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of digital electronics, electrical/electronic components, and test equipment, including the use of digital oscilloscopes.

Skills &

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* Associates or Bachelor's degree desirable.

* Established security clearance highly desirable.

* Power conversion/power supply experience desirable.

* Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.

* Experience with Analog & Digital power circuits.

* Self-starter with excellent communication skills.

* Strong computer skills.

* Some travel required to support fielded equipment, both domestic and international.

Work Environment:

You will be working in a standard engineering/manufacturing company. Our large building is currently being renovated to enhance manufacturing efficiency, with new equipment and advanced testing setups. We pride ourselves on being a collaborative company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
