Who We AreINEOS Energy is the energy division of INEOS. We produce and trade oil, gas, power, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and carbon credits. Operating across the Danish and UK North Sea with offshore oil & gas assets and onshore assets in South Texas, US. This is supported by our investments and projects in low carbon technologies, which will help sustain our business through the energy transition.
The key focus for the US Onshore business is to acquire, explore and develop properties to produce natural gas, oil and NGL from underground reservoirs safely and efficiently. Key operated assets are in the Eagle Ford shale basin in South Texas, with over 2,000 wells producing net 36 kBOE per day. Owning and operating producing US onshore assets is part of INEOS Energy’s strategy to build a global integrated portfolio, fit for the energy transition, offering high-quality energy solutions to its customers.

Job Title: Field Network Engineer
Department: Information Technology
Summary of Position: The Field Network Engineer is a hybrid role that supports the critical network infrastructure enabling INEOS’ oil & gas operations across the Eagle Ford basin in South Texas, as well as the end‑user technology that enables INEOS’ greatest asset, our people. You’ll architect and maintain IT & OT networks, ensure resilient SCADA and telemetry communications, and provide field‑level support for users and operational teams.
You’ll be an integral part of a large IT team that supports all end‑user technology, office technology, and core infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities Network Engineering (75%)
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across field offices and oilfield sites.
- Configure and manage edge and core firewalls.
- Implement and support VPN/IPsec connectivity.
- Utilize cellular private APN networks.
- Support and optimize SCADA and telemetry communications.
- Integrate RTUs, PLCs, and edge devices.
- Work closely with I&E and operational teams.
- Use proper network segmentation and secure remote access to build secure networks aligned to IEC 62443.
- Maintain device inventory and standards.
- Participate in incident response.
- Document systems clearly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot IT/OT network and SCADA issues.
- Maintain diagrams and SOPs.
- Implement monitoring and alerting.
- Provide on‑site technical support to field personnel.
- Support laptops, tablets, handhelds, HMIs, and applications.
- Troubleshoot user connectivity to SCADA dashboards and tools.
- Assist with device setup and patching.
- Train field users on troubleshooting steps.
- 5–8+ years IT/OT engineering or network roles.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP, CMSS, GICSP, IEC 62443, AZ‑700.
- Experience with IT/OT networks in industrial environments.
- Experience with cellular APNs, industrial cellular modems/routers, edge & core firewalls.
- SCADA or telemetry support.
- General Windows and end‑user hardware support.
- ITSM practices including ticketing, knowledge base, change management, and CMDB.

Both field and office locations. - Schedule:
9/80 Full‑time. - Travel required to INEOS field locations.
