Ecolab is seeking a Lead
Field Service Technician to join our team in New York, New York aField Service Technician your technical expertise and customer-first mindset will help shape a more sustainable future. You’ll be part of a purpose-driven team that supports water treatment systems across diverse industries. You’ll work hands-on in the field, building trusted relationships with customers and delivering solutions that protect vital resources and improve operational performance.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Deliver expert service and support for water treatment and filtration systems

  • Monitor chemical usage and system performance to ensure optimal operation

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and treatment issues with a focus on cost-effective solutions

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs to maximize equipment uptime

  • Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate clearly with customers

  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve service delivery

Position Details:

  • Location: New York, NY

  • Territory: The territory for this position covers a 50 mile radius. Primarily Manhattan, maybe some of the outer boroughs.

  • Work Days and Shift: Mon-Fri, Regular Shift

  • Travel Required: Up to 10% overnight travel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Position requires a current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions

  • Experience in a technical service role, ideally with water filtration systems or in industrial/mechanical environments

  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position

  • 5+ Years Water Treatment Experience, Mechanical Experience,

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements of Position:

  • Working in confined spaces and extreme conditions (hot, cold, damp, dusty)

  • Lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and standing for extended period

Repairs, Installation, Chemical treatment/testing - standard Field Service Representative Lead

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in chemistry, mechanical systems, or related field

  • Hands-on plumbing experience and familiarity with industrial equipment

  • Experience with boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pumping systems

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
