We are looking for an Electrical Inspector with MTA Project experience for an MTA tunnel project.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily field inspections to ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and applicable standards
- Prepare daily inspection reports, quantity tracking, and photographic documentation of work performed.
- Verify contractor compliance with safety regulations and environmental controls.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and state agency representatives to resolve field issues and maintain schedule adherence.
- Participate in progress meetings and provide input on field conditions and construction activities.
- Ensure proper implementation of erosion and sediment control measures.
- Review and verify contractor submittals and materials delivered to the site.
- Minimum of 5 years of field inspection experience on electrical infrastructure projects, preferably involving MTA, DOT, or large public transit systems.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards, and MTA electrical specifications.
- Experience with tunnel electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, SCADA, communications, fire alarm, and emergency systems.
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning procedures for electrical infrastructure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce clear and detailed field reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in active construction environments.
- OSHA 30 certified.
- Any relevant construction inspection certificates would be preferred.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to and within the project site as required.
