- Responsible for meeting firms engineering quality levels for discipline on assigned projects.
- Oversees development of design concepts by Designers and ensure proper application and execution.
- Verifies work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.
- Mentors and encourages development of staff.
- Responsible for applying firms risk management practices of project engineering.
- Leads the discipline design to produce construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget while minimizing erroneous efforts.
- Pursue opportunities in the local market and support national pursuits as needed.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Work with other senior staff within Infrastructure & Transportation and other practices groups, as necessary, to pursue and deliver a variety of projects.
- Serve as EXP’s Project Manager on a wide variety of related projects.
- Maintain project schedules and manage project financials including profit/loss for projects.
- Coordinate staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating, and reviewing work by others.
- Perform design computations, oversee report, plan and specification development and sign and seal construction documents as necessary.
- Oversee and approve invoicing/billing and manage project scope and secure change orders as necessary.
- Act as EXP’s representative with the client and teaming partners.
- Assist in the preparation of proposal and presentations for project pursuits.
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent commensurate work experience.
- 10+ years of MEP and MTA and Rapid Transit experience.
- Micro Station, AutoCAD and REVIT MEP proficient.
- New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
The pay range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
