Your new roleAs our new Senior Lead Consultant, Air Quality Professional, you will be part of our interdisciplinary air and climate team located in the Northeast, serving clients nationally in the U.S. This group consists of people who are passionate about air quality and assisting Ramboll’s clients with their most challenging problems. You will work with all levels of expertise from entry‑level team members to senior experts, many of whom are subject‑matter experts in their fields.
Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on‑the‑job tasks.
- Estimating air emissions and conducting engineering evaluations of air pollution sources.
- Preparing air quality permit applications.
- Working as a team to contribute technical skills on complex projects, and contributing to proposal preparation, technical presentations and client meetings.
- Preparing for and participating in meetings with regulatory agencies.
- Conducting site visits to industrial facilities to understand operations, gather data/information, and inform the evaluations described above.
- Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Providing occasional regulatory compliance support in other environmental program areas.
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or science discipline (air quality coursework is a plus).
- 6+ years of air quality related experience.
- Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing.
- Strong written/verbal communication, problem‑solving and organization skills.
- Demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real‑world situations.

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $97,500 - $126,500. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
