Senior Highway Transportation Engineer; PE

Step into a leadership role as a Senior Highway Transportation Engineer (PE) with flexibility to be based in multiple locations across New York, including Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, Albany, and more. Join a highly respected, multidisciplinary firm known for delivering impactful infrastructure projects, where you’ll lead high-profile transportation designs, mentor teams, and help shape safer, more efficient roadways across the region.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) and Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 20+ years of progressive highway/roadway design experience, including NYSDOT projects
• Serve as technical lead and subject matter expert for highway design and cost estimates
• Perform and oversee advanced roadway design including alignments, profiles, and grading
• Ensure compliance with NYSDOT and local standards, regulations, and safety requirements
• Conduct quality reviews for constructability and technical accuracy of design documents
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, subconsultants, and internal teams
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects

$130,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
