Job Description
WSP is recruiting a Consultant to support its growing Resilience Services Practice and Climate, Resilience and Sustainability Team. The role is full‑time and can be based in any U.S. office.
Responsibilities- Provide quantitative and spatial analysis, modeling, and exposure assessments related to natural hazards and long‑term climate change for infrastructure sector clients.
- Participate on multiple projects, delivering on commitments through effective coordination with internal colleagues, external resources, agencies, and consulting partners.
- Contribute to a diverse expert team working to advance the Resilience Services Practice through data‑driven analysis and decision‑making.
- Support clients and participate in client meetings to understand and meet project requirements.
- Represent WSP USA in the marketplace, sharing capabilities and experiences with other WSP offices.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company resources, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or another quantitative discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant quantitative risk and resilience experience in consulting, technical advisory, or infrastructure sectors (public agency experience may count).
- Experience with environmental, socio‑economic, and infrastructure datasets and large dataset programming (MATLAB, Python, R).
- Attention to detail, commitment to quality reviews, and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate technical analysis and results to non‑technical audiences using data visualization and maps.
- Self‑leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Learning agility and ability to work independently while complying with company policies.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills for technical analysis and data collation.
- Track record of upholding workplace safety and compliance with WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
- Postgraduate education.
- Experience in infrastructure sectors such as transportation, energy, digital, water, or urban.
- Experience developing quantitative vulnerability functions (e.g., fragility, depth‑damage, loss, downtime).
- In‑depth understanding of probability theory.

CompensationExpected Salary (all locations): $65,300 - $129,800.
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $65,300 - $121,770.
