- Permanent position for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design HVAC and other mechanical systems for complex innovative, highly sustainable, and high performance building projects.
- Position is with a leading NYC (midtown) MEP design engineering consulting firm.
- Prepare assigned project deliverables on-time, attention to detail, and limited detailed instructions.
- Interact frequently with clients with site visits to provide estimates of probable construction costs and issue reports.
- Provide system designs and documentation with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Conduct engineering calculations and equipment selection.
- Generate new and edit existing equipment specifications.
- BS Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of MEP industry experience.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) required.
- LEED Accreditation required.
- Experience with building performance simulation.
- Proficiency with engineering calculations and performance simulation software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
