- Permanent position for a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical design projects high performance building systems.
- Position is with a leading NYC (midtown) MEP design engineering consulting firm.
- Complete projects profitably and on schedule to develop high quality electrical system construction documents.
- Develop building automation system (BAS) controls and sequences of operation.
- Prepare electrical technical specifications.
- Mentor, train, and develop staff.
- Responsible for project quality control.
- Conduct calculations of electrical system requirements including power distribution, lighting systems, and fire alarms.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client coordination.
- BS Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical design of commercial building systems.
- PE License required with experience in leading a project.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience with design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, voltage drop, and fire alarm.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Project management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable NEC, NFPA, NYC Fire Protection Electrical Codes.
- Experience with shop drawing review and coordination and generation and implantation of electrical punchlists.
- Ability to conduct QA/QC reviews.
