Junior IP Network Architect

Assignment Requirements

• Perform IP network device upgrades, review existing design and implement required changes.
• Review current design and build new configuration with upgrade requirement.
• Assemble, configure, install, and dispose of Cisco routers and switches following existing configuration standards and procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting when necessary to remediate issues in a timely manner.
• Utilize a work management system for task coordination, scheduling, and obtaining installation approvals.
• Schedule outages with business owners as required.
• Manage tasks and provide periodic status updates and progress reports as necessary.

• Network Design and Management: Expertise in network design, management, detailed documentation, testing, problem analysis, and formulating scope and objectives for system changes.
• Technical Knowledge and Hands‑On
  
  Experience:
  
  
  • Cisco ASR/ISR routers (EIGRP, HSRP, OSPF, etc.) and Cisco Catalyst switches
  • Cisco Layer 2 protocols and configurations
  • Network security best practices
  • Determining network requirements, developing designs, selecting equipment, and creating Bills of Materials
  • Addressing Layer 2 and physical layer issues in both copper and fiber infrastructures
