Sales Engineer

A Series A Dev Tools company is hiring its next Sales Engineer to win enterprise deals in the experimentation and feature management space. Open-source at the core, warehouse-native by design, and growing past $8m ARR with real enterprise traction.

You'd sit between AEs, engineering buyers, product teams, and the technical decisions that decide whether a deal closes. This is a deal accelerator role, not demo support.

The category just consolidated (you've probably read the headlines). That has created the strongest opening this company has ever had to win enterprise customers who are now worried about lock‑in. You'd be the person who turns that anxiety into signed contracts.

• Own technical discovery, demos, and architecture conversations with VP Eng, Head of Data, and CTO buyers
• Scope and run PoCs end‑to‑end – success criteria, deployment, evaluation, debrief
• Handle technical objections (build vs buy, self‑hosting, warehouse query cost) on the front foot
• Feed real customer signal back to PM and engineering
• Shape how the SE function works as the team scales

• Recent experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre‑Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Customer Engineer
• Hands‑on with one of: feature flags, experimentation, product analytics, data platforms, observability, cloud infra, Dev Tools. Owned at least one PoC end‑to‑end (not just supported)
• Comfortable in a Series A–C scale‑up where you help build the playbook
• US‑based with strong East Coast hours overlap
