Summer Intern - Safety

About the role

Reworld is a global leader in sustainable waste solutions, converting municipal and commercial waste into renewable electricity. As an intern, you will work on projects that have a real impact on sustainability and advance your career in renewable energy, sustainability, and waste‑to‑energy technology.

• Safety compliance tracking and documentation control
• Assist with VPP recertification
• Support Safety Procedure requirements, including medical surveillance and hearing conservation
• Assist with new hire safety orientation and required monthly safety training
• Participate in safety committee meetings and help track action items
• Trend near‑miss and behavior‑based safety data using our safety data management system (Ideagen)

• Positive, motivated self‑starter who can take an assignment and run with it
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline

During your internship you will:
Work with industry experts, develop new skills, and establish a network of mentors and business contacts; learn all about Waste‑to‑Energy operations at the company; participate in leadership talks, skill‑building workshops, facility tours, and networking events.

This role is not eligible for benefits.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $35,600.00 – $47,300.00 USD.

For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
